    Nice visual impact with the heron coming almost straight at the viewer. Solid details and sharpness from wing tip to wing tip. Handsome looking bird. I like the striping in the throat plumage.

    Nice timing! Fantastic details! The thighs are just a tiny bit hot. Otherwise, everything is superb!

    Very nice incoming pose. Nice IQ and DOF. It can be tricky to get the head and neck in the DOF with these long necked birds and you nailed it.
    I would tone down the white vertical areas above the birds' left wing.
    Agree that the whites on the thighs are a bit hot and perhaps you could work on them in PP,
