Captured one beautiful clear morning flying over the Luangwa River floodplain. Just a great day to be photographing wildlife.

D3s 70-200 f/2.8 VRII !/5000s f/4 ISO1600@ 165mm. Slight crop for composition with small adj in levels, curves in ACR & PS CC, taken from a micro light.

    South Luangwa NP- Zambia.

    Cheers
    Marc

Hi Marc nice view from the top of the ´world´down to this procession of elephants.
Detail, color and tones does look ok to me.But what bothers me a bit is the central placement of the lined up elephants.A different crop would work better IMHO , loosing some of the top and LHS . Just my thought.

I like the sparkles on the water and the overall mood/story, mate. Just not 100% on the placement of the elephants in the space you have?
Also not sure of a better suggestion - perhaps having them more to the top left?

    Thanks Andreas & Morkel

I tried varying the placement of the ele's and finally settled on this version and happy with it,
the dilemma with keeping it to a 2:3 format and cropping to a pano format would be I'd lose some of the nice ripple effect of the concentric circles, if going to a pano one could take some off
    the top section I suppose.

Hi Marc - another different and interesting image from the ultra light. I agree that the comp/crop is a tough one here and I don't have a solution other than what you've already thought of.

Another beautiful arial shot, Marc! Nothing to add to the other comments except: wish I was there!

    Dear Marc,

You have the most amazing opportunities and I am so enjoying your aerial shots, here's a humble suggestion for a new crop, WDYT?

    Kind regards,

I like Gabriela's crop and it is what I would have done myself. You still have the clear water in the TL and the disturbed water LR.
