Hi Loi - Those are certainly some big tusks and a classic scene. I like it when you can isolate a big tusker like this. Nice pov. I would crop about half of the sky out to make it less 50/50 between land and sky. There's also a yellow cast to the image so I would reduce the yellows and darken the greens of the grasses in a hue/saturation layer. Adding a couple of points of black to the neutrals and blacks in selective color also helps to bring out a bit more detail in the ele. Here's a quick rp to give you an idea. Also, just watch the halo coming in around the ele.
Lovely specimen! Rachel's repost is better ito colour balance. I can never resist the urge to see what these big boys look like in the timeless medium of monochrome, so here's a quick one...WDYT?
This is indeed lovely Loi, and there's no distraction whatsoever to make me take my eyes off the ellie, nice clean image and works perfectly in colour as well as B/W. Great angle and POV, well framed and I like the presentation. Cannot comment on colour unfortunately, I am on my laptop (at work).
Just got back from travel for work. Thank you Rachel for re-working my image. You brought out more details for sure.
i always felt the image colors were a bit weak, so love the B&W rendition that Morkel did. I'm on the iPAD now, but will re work it in B&W and may be it is now worth a print! So thank you Morkel.
