    This was taken at Nickerson Beach on a beautiful afternoon with the perfect sw wind for shots like this.

    nice pose with open beak and dangling feet, and I also like the BG that shows his typical habitat. The image is underexposed and the blacks show no detail. I would try to recover the blacks. opening the aperture will give you a smoother BG which can use some NR here. You can also post larger for better viewing.

    Killer light you had here, Jim, and I love how the underwings are lit up and so full of details! The pose is awesome as is the inclusion of the habitat, esp the grasses down below which really help to anchor the image. Would try bringing up the blacks a bit but overall a very pleasing image!
