Hi Nick, don't usually see pics with boats and people in this forum, so caught me by surprise. Nice action and colors, but I think the focus point was more on the boat than the dolphin. I'd try to selective sharpening the dolphin a bit more. Loi

Thanks for the comments Loi. I felt the image told a story of the people on the boat observing the Dolphins. I just looked at the guidelines for posting and this says "Images may include minor hand of man elements" I must confess this is probably more than minor hand of man elements, if the moderators feel I have crossed a line please feel free to remove the image.

Not sure what Loi is seeing as the jumping Dolphin looks more than sharp enough for me. As for the image, it really is perfection. You might say that it floats my boat. Timing and image design a well as EXP are all superb. I like how you just got the tip of the island in the frame on the right. And on my birthday no less! How was the puffin photography in mid-June? Were there any with fish? Sorry that we missed you.

Artie, it was actually the end of June when I visited, it was the Sunday and Monday on the same week you were there, I kept my eyes open for you but I think you visited later in the week. Thanks for the comments on my Dolphin image, you are very observant, I hadn't even noticed I had got the tip of he island in the frame

Artie, my first impression was of the boat and my eyes were drawn to it instead of the dolphin, thus my comment. Nick later pointed out that he wanted to capture people watching the dolphin. in that case, no issue with the dolphin sharpness. It's plenty sharp for that. Loi

Hello Nick!
This image resembles a lovely postcard and I think it should go to print
It is indeed lovely and I really enjoyed viewing, those cheerful dolphins are stunning - certainly sharp enough, and the sea colour is so natural, so beautiful. In terms of " minor man-made elements " I personally feel this photograph does cross the "boundaries" of Wildlife Forum to some extent, and here I agree with Loi - the emphasis is more on the boat and the human element rather than the wildlife. I feel this image belongs in a category of its own, something like "humans and the environment", but since we do not have such a forum on BPN (yet) I have no choice but to congratulate you on this well composed and processed image - well done Nick!
Kind regards,

Hi Nick - Since Artie didn't have a problem with the hand of man element you should be ok with posting it in Wildlife. I too like the image design, the bright colors and the timing with the dolphins. Well done.
TFS,
Rachel
