had a nice assortment of these dicksissels over 3 mornings.
Here's another singer at about 7:30 am.....400mm, 1.4x, 1/1000, f/9, ISO 800

tried to keep ss up as there was a breeze blowing.......pretty heavy crop, lack of
detail in some areas

Very nice light and singing pose. I wouldn't mind if the green branch in the BG were not there. BTW, it's spelled dickcissel. ;)

Hi Dave,
Agree with Axel on the green branch. Good comp and pose. Compared to the complimentary colors of the BGs in your previous posts of this species, this BG seems a little bland by comparison.

Love the singing pose and the sharpness but not the leaves. For my taste a bit of fill flash on the breast would have been an improvement.
