Hi folks ,
took this image of the Big Horn Sheep youngsters greeting each other after being separated for a couple of minutes , because the herd has been spread out over larger area.
Canon EOS 1D MK IV
EF 100- 400 IS L at 180 mm
Handheld
F 7,1 ; Iso 400 ; 1/800 sec
Processed in Photo NInja and PS CC ; cropped for comp ; some gardening in FG and BKG .
Thanks for watching and commenting to my previous thread. C&C welcome .
Hi Andreas - a nice portrait of the two with good sharpness and detail. A bit too contrasty for my taste, particularly on the body, but I know you like more contrast than I do.
Nice interaction with good eye contact and great detail. Would probably look good as a metallic print. Could've been a great Disney moment (Lady and the Tramp) if they were both eating that grass!
Thanks Rachel and Steve for your comment/feedback , as aways good to hear that.
Rachel will stick to my contrast , but could think about reducing the contrast ever so slightly would be possible , even for me .
Hi Andreas, very nice portrait and interaction in good light. I too find the contrast a bit strong. If you have a wee bit all around, I'd like to suggest that you consider it. TFS. Loi
Hi Andreas, my first thought was that it appeared too contrasty, but I think the effect is heighten by the Whites & Darks of the fur. In an ideal world it would, I think having the other eye visible on the RH kid would have been better, however... The grass stalk is a nice touch and I like the fact you kept the BKG light as per the previous image. Any images with a side profile, heads clashing?
Thanks Loi, Steve and Sanjeev for taking your time and giving your feedback , as always very much appreciated.
Will stick to ´my contrast´, thanks.
Steve sadly i have no version you ask for, they came together rubbed their heads quickly and moved on ........., would love to have the version you want to see.
I really like this and I think the crop is great, don't mind the contrast at all here, it makes the subjects "pop" beautifully and the colours are stunning. I like the "golden" tinge overall, this would make a great print - well done Andreas!
Hi Gabriela , thank you for your kind words ,as always very nice to see you participating . Where are your posts ? , still busy with the kids - do not think so , maybe with other stuff .
Hi Morkel thanks for taking your time and creativity .I like what you have done , good work.
But i would dodge the darker areas in BKG to get a smoother BKG, WDYT ?
