I have heard of pink elephants but not of pink suns... Canon 500mm f/4L IS lens with 1.4 and 2X II TCs and the EOS 40D. Manual focus. ISO 800. Evaluative metering +2/3 stop: 1/500 sec. at f/8.
With the sun on the horizon a tern, a Royal Tern I believe, flared upwards.

Last week at the Alligator Farm I was part of a team creating an educational video on the 40D. The more I used it the more I liked it. It will be a few months more in editing and production. We will let folks know via Bulletin when it is posted.
