sweet light, excellent BG and sharp details. I like the plumage too, I like the delicate balance with his small feet, only wish the perch was as delicate as the bird.

    TFS, great work.

Excellent. I agree that a more delicate perch would have been better. It is still an excellent image as is your other post of this bird.

Enrique another look at this bird in a different pose and still looks great to me, perch is not a problem for me you have done really well to get this bird off the ground, and being able to get such a nice clean BG.

Beautiful light and background, good HA, like the raised wings. Well captured.

For starters, the light quality is superb! The action pose here is even better. It's not often that I've seen such well lit underwing detail for this species....rather willet like. It's a very unique and special image. On the previous post you stated that the bird was a female. How do you know that? The only time (read anectdotal at best) that I've seen this species perch up like this it's when there have been little ones running around, and I thought that the males of this species typically due the child rearing...so anyway, just wondering how you were able to differentiate the sexes of this species? Any feedback is appreciated....

Very nice Enrique. I like the light in this and the detail and color look great too. I like this pose better than the last. Nice capture

    Thanks all for your comments!

    Shawn,
    I was guessing... ;)

This bird seemed to be "defending" a territory - like if the nest was nearby... I observed for a while and did not see or heard any chicks.

Another neat image of the unique opportunity. Not sure if it would perch on a more delicate one and probably needs a thick sturdy one like this. Great light, and yes, the underwing patterns usually not seen so clearly is a treat to look at. I'd perhaps tone down the brightest part of the neck which is pushing hot as posted.

Terrific image Enrique. Light, BG, pose, design - all top notch. One of the best of this species I've seen posted. Congrats on a fine shot.

Love the bird in this one! very nice light and wings up. I wish the perch was not so large/thick.
