This chestnut sided warbler was photographed in Northern Minnesota on 7.13.14. The tree that the warbler is on is a service berry tree, which now have ripe delicious red berries.
Canon7d, Sigma50/500os, iso800, f8, 1/500, warmed the image slightly before RAW conversion, cropped, NR to the bg, USM. The perch was naturally occuring. (Audio used as an attractant).
Comments and critiques welcome. Regards.

I dont mind the leaf either. The shot looks great IMO and the feather detail and colors are fantastic. The stare is direct and has perfect eye contact and the smooth green BG showcases the bird nicely.
Well done Shawn
This species likes to perch with is pose, which I like. I see the point about the leaf, but I like the image alot for the pose, colours, BG. Good techs and processing too.
The bird has given you a perfect pose! Love the light and the nice size perch. I wish the bigger leaf was not so close to the belly of the bird, still an image I would like to have in my files. >)
