Guru Purnima is a Indian festival dedicated to spiritual and academic teachers. Guru Purnima is celebrated on the great auspicious day of full moon,( Purnima,) in the month of July.
Indian academics celebrate this day by thanking their teachers as well as remembering past teachers, scholars and strengthen the bond between teacher (guru)-student relationships.
On this day people worship and pay respect to their Guru.
