Default Wild Dogs Playing in Water III

I thought I would post another one from our great sighting of the large pack of wild dogs playing in the water hole. Here the chase was on.

    Canon 7D
    300 II
    1/1600
    f7.1
    ISO 800
Beanbag from safari vehicle, cropped to vertical, luminosity mask, levels, curves, selective color, sharpened in CCPS.

    C&C welcome and appreciated. Thanks,

    Rachel

Hi Rachel, lovely head on shot, nice amount of space in the FG to run into and the water spray conveys the speed these dogs at play created. Perhaps adding a filter to the FG to create a bit more depth/tone I think might help, likewise I just wonder if the dogs are looking a tad too sharp, but viewing on laptop so...?

Certainly a spectacular sighting considering the pack size too.

That is kind of brilliant Rachel ;) I would be tempted to blur the FG a little more (but subtle).

Hi Rachel ,great timing with this shot . Love the head on POV and the splashing water .Nice colors and overall contrast. I would tone down the bright area in the BKG.I would not blur the FG .

In a really nice world there would have been a better separation between the two dogs , but nothing you do about the situation how they run .

Nice image Rachel. Great action captured. Was this at Ngala, Timbavati? Be there next week.If it were mine I think I would crop it below the log on the shoreline in the bg

Thanks all for the comments and suggestions, much appreciated. Carl - we were at Kings Camp which does not share traversing with Ngala but we heard there was a smaller pack in Ngala's traversing area at the time.

Hi Rachel, nice action and head on shot. The water spray really conveys the speed. I too wish that there was more separation between the dogs, but there wasn't anything you could do. Loi

Neat shot Rachel. Would've been sweet to see a little more of the rear one's face.

Lovely vertical framing of this epic moment, Rachel.
I agree it looks just a tad too crisp?
