    Default Pintail hen take-off

    Attached Images Attached Images

    Canon 1D4, 700mm
    1/2500, f7.1, iso 500
    Manual, HH
    Bolsa Chica, last December

Full frame side-to-side. Cropped from the top. The head reflection barely made it in. Added a tad to the bottom.

Noticed as I'm posting that this image could use CW rotation. Will fix.

    All input appreciated.
    Thanks.

One of the best take off images I've seen. Love that splash, light and reflection. The water looks so cool. Yes to CW rotation.

Fantastic work! So many fine elements of this image. Nice how the bird is against the brown background and the reflection the blue. Angle of takeoff is perfect as are the splashes. Great to see you giving the hen her chance in the spotlight. When you rotate it, I personally would add a bit more to the bottom.

Lovely shot, Sid. Great takeoff pose with good wing position, nice water patterns, and splash, brown water picking up the hen's coloration. Yes to CW rotation, and a little canvas to compensate.

All has been said. Marvelous takeoff pose very nice wing position.
Love the reflection, water flash and brown swirly's in the water ( borrowed from Gail ,thanks Gail) very nicely complimenting with her colors.

Hi Sid, absolutely nailed. Love the wing position and great that you managed a full and clear reflection. I do like the blues and browns together, and thats an impressive splash from the take off motion. Well captured.
