I did a lot to this image, experimenting until it looked the way i wanted, including Recompose, many filters in CEP, Viveza, darken and lighten selectively, and two textures.

Hi, Anita, I like the horizontal lines contrasting with all the verticals and then the graceful curving lines of the tree to counter them both. I like the toning also. For some reason this has an oriental feel to it that I like

Thanks, Cheryl. The Oriental feel may be due to the flatness and the tree on the left. :-) I'm starting to catch up!

Hi, Anita, I think the roof over the barn door reminds me of a pagada (and of course the tree.) I hope you had a great Maine vacation!

Hi Anita, the horizontal and vertical lines also accentuate the diagonal lines of the four Xs. The toning nicely reflects the weathering of the barn.

I really like this -- very nice composition of geometric shapes. I like the way the tree balances the doors, and the lighter area of the massive doors. Those two little windows are the grace note!

There's a clarity and glow to this that really brings up the details of the all the lines, verticals, horizontals and those wonderful X's on the doors. The use of a single tone brings it all together. And the tree adds an interesting contrast of different types of lines.
