    Very nice! As lovely as the vegetation is, it competes with the bird a little too much, for me. I wonder if increasing exposure on the entire image would help a little -- the bird seems a bit dark, too. Or bring up the darks a little. Either would have the effect of lowering contrast just a little, which I think would be worth looking at.

    It there a bit more canvas on the left?

    As a fan of shorebirds...this image really makes me salivate :) Totally awesome in all regards. The up North flora carpet is as interesting and pleasing to look at as the bird itself. Brilliant breeding plumage on this one.
