    I was just about to pack up when this came along the bank
    1dx 600f4isL mkII 1/1600 f4.5 iso 650.

    Love the dive pose and the nice dark BG, the highlights are blown a bit and the bird is showing too much noise for a 1DX and somewhat lacks in details. maybe it was a very big crop?

    Yes it is a very big crop as is often the case here in the UK Birds just don't seem to like us very much, even a 600 can be to short the bird was 50ds away .

    Beautiful dive pose with nice eye contact.Very nice dark BG.
    He is very much familiar with human nature! ( look at ring in his foot), that's why he was reluctant to come near you.
