    Default Osprey with Alewife

The Alewife run is in full swim at Damariscotta Mills, Maine these two weeks. This gives us FLA like conditions with Osprey diving for fish within 50 feet - Here is one of the 800 frames from this AM. 1dm3, 500f4, handheld, 1/1250 at f6.3, iso200, ME, AF aiservo. Bob

I like the wing position and eye contact. The fish adds to it. Is this a heavy crop or is the head a bit oversharpened?

Yes, the Ax-man has a sharp, sharp eye. Love the fish and the upper wing but the lower wing in shadow and the bird flying slightly away from you are less than ideal.

Have you been working with the latest firmware update?

Art, I have not installed the last update. What have you seen in the AiServo for change? Thanks, Bob

Hi Bob, I have installed the new firmware on all four of my MIII bodies (3 1D, 1 1Ds) but have not used them yet as I have been having fun with the 40D in a Canon educational project. I have, however, heard great things about it... Will give it a good test on the Wild Britain Zegrahm's cruise and my trip to Bonaventure with Chris Dodds.
