    Hi All,
Am posting here after a bit of a gap. Did not get much time to edit pics after my recent trip to Kabini in Karnataka, India (Nagarhole forest reserve)
Here is one from that trip.

Hello Sanjeev, Great to have you back, this is a species I have not seen before and I like this surprised pose you have captured here from the subject. The BG is great, subject sharp and lots of detail on the fur, I find the face to be a tad too dark and would have liked a bit more detail around the eye and ear; perhaps with a bit of dodging you could make those sharp long teeth a bit more visible? I have another idea regarding crop and would like to show you, hope you do not mind? I think getting closer would put more emphasis on the subject, I know it might not be everyone's cup of tea but here it is anyway. Tried to open up the area around the eye a bit and to lighten the tongue and teeth, but ever so slightly...

Well done, I hope you have more images of this interesting species!

    Kind regards

Hi Sanjeev - We've missed both your wildlife images and your comments on other people's images (so don't forget that part of it too ). You've brought out some nice detail and handled the exp well. Gabriela is correct that you can bring out a little more particularly in the ear. I like Gabriela's alternate crop. There's some magenta coming through in the fur but I'm not sure what the correct coloring is. If it were mine I would reduce the blues in the blacks too. Looking forward to more.

    TFS,
    Rachel

Hi Sanjeev , very nice portrait with good detail /sharpness where it counts ! Hammer BKG.

Good suggestions by Gabriela and Rachel regarding color/tone would echo their thoughts.

Nice portrait Sanjeev! These common denizens of the jungle are often overlooked in pursuit of the big cats, I too love shooting these simians :) Sharpness and background are spot on, some eye contact would have added to the image maybe?
Agree with Rachel about the color casts, I can see some magenta in the fur covering his body, strangely not so much in the head

Hi Sanjeev, I think you did well considering the extremes in the Blacks & Whites. As presented I don't think the crop is working, for me it just seems a little lost within the frame so agree on a tighter version, but I think it's one you need to play with an unconstricted crop tool to see what suits best. I quite like the depth & tone in the OP, agree it needs some selective adjustment work, but I feel Gabriela's has gone slightly too much as it's lost the depth the OP has. Killer BKG, it really separates the subject with no distracting elements. Will leave it with others re colour as I'm away.

Sanjeev your handling of whites and blacks and detail is great here...
Some good suggestions, although the OP crop was fine for me personally.
