    Default Theme: old hands

    I'll start off the new theme: OLD. I got the idea of photographing old hands from one of the past articles in Denise Ippolito's monthly mini-mag. The hand on the left is my 102-year old father-in-law. The one on the right is my husband, a young 71.

    Used a layer of nik analog 2, b&w, and a reduced layer of topaz simplify b&w oil paint.

    Hi, Nancy, I love this! The person who wrote the article, Joyce Pearson, is a friend of mine and she does a "hands" portrait portfolio for hospice patients that she provides free of charge. I thought it was such a neat project that I asked her to write the article so I'm glad that it inspired you. The lighting on this one is beautiful

    Wonderful image Nancy, one that tells a story and captures a moment in time. Excellent technical skills evident in the processing with super lighting and nuance. Very nice!
