    Sorry, another boring puddle shot.
Usual specs managed to find some old btracken fronds . The new ones are vivid green and don't look well.
I personally love the little circles around the feet !
I feel maybe I could tone down the frond in the back ? WDYT

I usually prefer lower angles but here the higher vantage point helps show off the very nice texture to the water as well as those circles around the legs you love (I do too). Yes to toning down the frond IMO. Good sharpness for the low shutter speed considering this is likely an energetic bird.

    Love your puddle shots!

A head turn towards the viewer would put this over the top.

I love it - focus perfectly on the bird, as small as it is. On my monitor it looks fine so I wouldn't down-tone anything. Nice one!

Yes to toning down the frond. And I too like the circles around the feet. The raised tail adds a lot to this shot,

I wish the bird was looking towards us.

The surface quality of the water adds greatly to the beauty of this little one. Like the posture and the rings around the feet also. Agree with toning down the frond.

Image is excellent. I'm definitely with you on the water circles. I'm am not sure about the bird's colour which shows a buffy pink as opposed to a salmon pink (more of an observation than a criticism).

    Thanks all
Adrian- I wouldn,t know a salmon from a buffy pink if I saw one ! Maybe its the water colour reflected.
    Cheers
