    I don't have many skimmer shots, I was happy to get a few this past weekend.

    Looks like a keeper to me, nice image Robert. I like to EXP, BG, and the catch light in the eye. From experience I know how hard to get the eye to show in this bird.

    Very neat eye-level flight image of this beautiful skimmer. The orange bill looks great against that blue backdrop. We can even see the bit of faint yellow wash near the "armpit" these guys have during breeding season. The blacks look just a bit too dark IMO, not by much, but if you lighten them very subtly you might like the result. I'd also look into removing the blue cast on the far wing.

    nice pose and BG, you had great light too. It would be a bit more dynamic with the wings fully raised. I agree with Dan that blacks have lost detail (blocked)

    I really like the pose and the HA looks great too. Nice varied BG and color. You might be able to boost the exposure on the blacks a bit to get some more detail in them.. Nice frame
