    This was taken on Hawk Mountain in Pennsylvania.

    Nikon D5100, Sigma 150-500
    1/125 sec, F6.3, ISO 400 at 500mm

    Although common we do not see many images posted of this species. Love the bill full of prey items, raised crest, and you have a nice "forest feel" to the image. I wish for a bit less canvas below and a bit more above, and too bad the thrush did not angle its head more towards you. You could also run some NR to the background. Good looking greens all around.

    Some fill flash would help balance with the bright BG. A head turn towards the viewer woull put this over the top for me.

    I like the food item, head turn would be a bonus. the image is soft, grainy and it also has a strong green cast. He is a handsome bird!
