Yellow-cheeked Tit

As flamboyant as a rock star, and almost as noisy: the yellow-cheeked tit (黄颊山雀, huángjiá shānquè, Machlolophus spilonotus)! I count this among the most beautiful of the Parids. During my recent pioneering trip to the Dúlóng River (独龙江) in Yunnan, China, my teammates and I were finding two to five yellow-cheeked tits each day. Attracted using audio. Nikon D3S, 600 mm, F/5.6, 1/320, ISO 1000.

Hi Craig, you have captured a lovely angled pose, and love the raised crest. The details are there on the darker plumage on the breast, but would try and tease a bit more out. Im also seeing a blue cast on the blacks.

Excellent image pf nicely pose Tit. Beautiful colors,nice details and pleasant background.
I could see a vertical version of composition.
