Default Northern Harrier in last light

    Attached Images Attached Images

Canon 1D4, 700mm, and an excellent guide (Dave Salem )
    1/1250, f6.5, ISO 1000
    HH, manual

This one was underexposed by 1/3rd stop. I brought it up in post. (I know this image is still dark, but this is how I remember the scene)
In addition this is a bigger crop than usual (46% of FF)
I ran NR on the bird using techniques in Arash's excellent NR guide.
    Strong NR on the BG.
I think the image cleaned up nicely.

    All comments appreciated.
    Thanks.

nicely done, I like the low light feel. Is Arash's guide a sticky or booklet for sale?

Lovely image, Sid. The light was stunning and you did a great job with your NR and PP.

That was a fun evening watching you shoot that Harrier so close. Too bad it was so late but you did a great job tracking her and exposing for the situation. I love the evening color and the processing looks great.
    Well done Sid.

Excellent in every regards. Love the light, and the thin strip of richer tans along the bottom. Good processing too.

Hi Sid, sweeeeeet light, and love the eye contact. With the raised wings, you have shown up the underwing detail nicely, and what a lovely smooth clean BG to round the image off. Well captured.

Nice shooting angle wing position and sharpness, Sid. You could go a little lighter if you wish.
