Gotta love these sandgrouse! Stunning birds that are super fun to photograph. This is the female version of the male I submitted 3 posts back. I really like the wing position of this but would love to get your thoughts and areas of improvement.

Location: Lijersdraai Waterhole, Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park

    Exposure bias -0.3
Cropped, sharpened for web, lens blur to background to reduce noise in the BG & little else.

I really like this. The similar cream colors of the Sandgrouse and BG give it an 'antique photo' feel without it being faded. I like the wing position very much. About all I can suggest is to see if you can bring out a bit more detail in the shadows on the Sandgrouse on the right hand side of the photo. Excellent shot!

Excellent wing positions...and a perfect title to go with the image. Very sharp, and good dof covering the full bird. I'd be tempted to add a catchlight to the eye on our left, and perhaps a bit warmer WB. All that is missing here is a springbok in the BG

Great looking frame Richard. I really like sand Grouse and this a cool pose. The techs look great as do the details. Daniel has a few good suggestions, catchlight and warm it up a bit. Well done.
