    Greater Spotted Woodpecker
    Not doing much now as the fishing season is upon us.

    The pools are cluttered with young birds - mainly blue tits- hundred of them.
    Still the odd stranger like this turns up
    D7000 800 ISO
    sIGMA 100-300 F4
    Slight crop
    noise reduction
    Few droppings cloned out
    Bibble for whites.

    Lovely image. Light quality is soft and pleasing as well as perfectly exposed. The elements in the frame keep my eye moving but only in a pleasant way. Sharp details on the subject.

    Magnificent image.Beautiful tack sharp bird with lovely colors. Pool looks so natural,no body will believe it is made you.
    Very nice 3D effect in the frame.

    Hi John, well placed in the frame, and you exposed this fellow nicely. Just enough foliage around your pond to make it work nicely without being too busy.
