My wife and I took a short mental-health trip to Vermont over the weekend to partake in its scenery and serenity. Found this fellow in the West Rutland Marsh. These are elusive little guys. I might have wished for the body to be turned a little sideways, but he was flitting around so quickly, and mostly hidden in the reeds, that I was pleased just to get a good head turn and perch.

From the tough circumstances you describe you managed to capture a beautiful habitat image, Bill. Very nice detail, and I also like the pose.
