    Default Trumpeter Swan

    Trumpeter Swan, Goose Pool, Necedah NWR. A great place to photograph these swans but unfortunately many of them have a very large and ugly and neck band.

    You got a nice wing flap. The neck band is at least partially hidden by the curve of the neck. The body is sharp but I think the head/neck might be a little soft. I'm thinking that the point of focus was on the chest. A little more DOF would have helped some. You can try to select just the head and sharpen it.

    Lana picked up on the DOF and critical focus issue. I like the wing flap and you did good capturing the action. I would be tempted to give him a bit more room in the front.
