    Default Theme - Blur Abstract

I know this one won't be everyone's cup of tea but I liked it. It was taken at sunset in 2012 at the Bosque del Apache - geese with a slow shutter speed - .4 sec. Minimally processed in LR - increased vibrance and changed the color temp.

Ok so I am one of those where the cups half full on this image, maybe just a hint more detail might help. But Cheryl, you created it because you liked the effect and that's what matters most, that you like it.

Very nice as an abstract Cheryl, with a lovely palette. I am torn, but think I would have liked to have seen one bird more in focus to relate to the rest of the group.

The blur part is fine but the heaviness at the top bothers me. (But then I bother easily...)

I wonder how it would look with a graduated adjustment layer coming down from the top with a big dose of a curve pulled up?

Thanks, Paul, Jackie and Diane. I'll give your suggestion a try, Diane. To me, I like the fact that there is basically no form to the birds - like a dimly remembered dream. And I like the colors.

Cheryl, this makes me think. I see clearly your idea of a dimly remembered dream, but it probably would not have occurred to me without your prompting. The very top feels heavy and possibly a crop just down to that horizontal white line would be a possibility. And I would love to see more of those blues. But enough of what I want . I do like the swirling feel of energy and the sense that it is directional to the right.

Well, I like it! Maybe blurs are growing on me. I think of it purely as an abstract, hence, no need for more definition. I love the limited color palette. Nice sense of movement. I think this is the perfect theme for you!

Hi, Anita, thanks! I agree about it being more abstract than blur
