    Handheld Canon 1DX Canon 500mm f4 Manual mode, ISO 400 1/2000 sec f8 processed using DPP4.
    Now I have sorted out the layout with thumbnails and preview and floated the palettes etc I can see some good workflow using DPP4. I did have a look at the eye -( it is there!) but it looks artificial if I enhance it too much.

    You certainly don't want to mess with the eye like I did with my loon landscape shot

    I like the transillumination, open bill, clean, simple shapes of wings and tail.

    A few puffy clouds would have been nice for a sense of depth.

    Perfectly composed, clean, simple and very elegant.
    I like the backlit effect in this image a lot.

    The translucence of the feathers works really well here. Good comp, open bill a plus. I'd be tempted to go a bit tighter here.
