I am a great fan of our Sparrows especially these Tree Sparrows which got to be almost a rare bird in my part of Lincolnshire but now I am pleased to say have a nice few coming to my pond/feeder.
The Bg is a potato field which still as flowers so not the clean Bg that I would like, but hey! can't win them all.

Thanks for looking and your comments and tips on my last post.

Very nice, Keith. I personally have no issues with the BG, I do think that the perch unbalances the composition a bit. With the bird on the busier part of the perch, that is. HA would have been a little better tilted a degree or two towards you as well. I would've cropped a bit off the top of the image - still a great shot though!

Hi Keith, I like the BKG, it adds some interest with the slightly lighter patches, offering an almost slightly mottled pattern, I think a solid colour would not work here, but has it's place. I know what you mean about the flowers, every morning I drive past several acres of potatoes on route to he owls. Have you tried flipping left to right, might sit better, just a thought? Easing back on the Blue to around -60 certainly helps, % personal taste, just look at the beak. I might also peg back the sharpening a wee bit too, easy to resolve, but excellent detail. I like the arch of the branch and in parts, the lichen and the bird being almost at eye level with the viewer, although the bird is looking away. Not sure, but just adjusting the green BKG to soften the tone & vibrance may also help make the subject 'pop' a little more, WDYT?

Hi Keith, I like the colours on this sparrow, which are well exposed and look spot on. Comp wise, I would take a bit of the top and bottom, but leave the rotation as in your OP. Before reading Steve's comment, I too thought the sharpening was on the edge.
