    Hi, Stuart, I like the pose and the base image IQ looks great. I think I'd open up the shadows a bit under the left wing and top of the right wing and crop a sliver from the bottom to eliminate the dark ripple at the bottom edge.

    Stuart, you have a great technique for capturing these egrets in action! Cheryl has good suggestions, and I liked the treatment of erasing the effect from the eye, that you used previously.

    I love these birds, they always seem to be just a little crazy! I like how the oil paint brings out detail and gives a nice painterly look. Some good thoughts regarding the shadows.

    I've never been a fan of these painting filters but I like this one. It's more subtle than some, and doesn't obscure the bird too much. It does fit with their crazy busy motion.
