This is another image from my recent visit to Cairngorm, we were walking back to the hotel after a long walk through the forest, looking for Capercaillie, light was getting poor, hence the higher ISO. I thought it was quite a cute pose

    Thanks for having a look

    William:

It is a cute shot, soft light worked well, I agree with John about some options on the crop. My 1st try would be some off the top and the left, to play up the birds and their crowded poses.

    Cheers

Magnificent image. Very nice poses and HA's. Perfect exposure, beautiful colors and details.
Nice backdrop and composition. But still you have options for different compositions.

    Satish.

Hi William, if you can, just push everything up, as presented it looks like it's disappearing out of frame, or try a 16 x9 crop from the bottom RH corner across to the left. The blacks look a little washed out, also there is a little bit of a cast that is easily fixed in the whites, plus I'm not sure, but have you sharpened separately the eyes? Cracking BKG.

Can I assume based on the location you were up with a mutual friend, I really need to get back up there.

I agree the dual poses n the single perch is pretty neat! Very good BG. My first impression was that you needed to have pointed your lens down a bit more.
