    Yesterday I posted a thread of this bird gliding over the marsh. This image is of the same bird after landing.

    Nikon D7000
    Nikon 70-300mm F/4.5-5.6 VRII AF shot at 280mm (420mm FFE)
    1/640 F/5.6 +1 ISO 2000
    Post processed in Lightroom 5

    Sharp, well exposed, good walking pose, strong environmental component without overpowering the bird.

    Fairly high ISO for the D7000, but looks good. Did you need to do much in the way of noise reduction?

    I like the pose and grassy environment. Well exposed, sharp as posted. I do find the crop a tad cramped though top and bottom, just wondering if you have any room to add back for the comp?
