    Big Time Welcome Mike !!!!!

Great advice by Dave on the color space (crucial) and excellent re post !!!!

Did well with the low angle, got close to a good head position and exposure not bad. Did obtain some detail in the shadows. As presented would like seeing the bird further back in the frame. Always want more space in front than behind and keep him out of the center. Would also suggest not stopping down. Much rather go for the shutter speed and going wide open would help blur the bg. At times you want to stop down one for sharpness. Would make some images at wide open and stopping down so you can judge the difference. Important to know your equipment. Will be variations !!!! Looking forward to many more.

Big welcome to the BPN family. Great capture. Would have liked a blurred background and the bird further back in the frame.
    Congrats,
