Default Savannah Sparrow with no hand of man

I have some adequate photos of this species in my files, but almost all with the hand of man present (fence posts, and barbed wire). Nothing wrong with that, but I made it a point to try to go out and get some more "natural" images. This requires a slight change in strategy: park my car (which serves as a hide) where there are no fence posts and where some small 2-3 feet high bushes are instead. This little guy was attracted via taped call to the very branch I wanted him on. Very important not to overuse these taped calls and let the birds go on their merry way in a prompt and respectful way.:)

    Very Nice Daniel,
Love the rich colors of your bird and the razor sharp details. Great habitat...Have you considered doing this one on a vertical to see how it looks to accent the downward slope of your perch???:D

Nice color and detail Daniel. I like your choice of perch with the little tufts of green. The BG blade of grass running into his body really draws my eye.

Great sharpness, pose, head angle, EXP, and the rest. The aforementioned blade of grass is mildly bothersome. All in all, well done.
