    Default Little Tern

Not sure if this is the correct translation for this specie (Andorinha do mar anã), if some can confirm i appreciate.

Little tern in flight after fishing for the female. Several females were close to the chicks on a muddy soil as the males were fishing.

Not sure on the species. Nice and sharp great job freezing the wings. Nice catch light in the eye and you did a great job on the whites.

Yes, a good catch, for you and the bird! It's not easy to shoot birds in flight -- good job! I like that the eye shows up well -- it is easy for it to be invisible in the dark band of feathers.

The bird has a subtle warm tone, but that could have been the light. My impression is that there might be a little more detail to be found in the whites -- they look a bit flat. There is a sticky here that has some information.

The image does not have an embedded profile, although it looks like you converted to sRGB. You'll have a better chance of more people seeing the colors correctly if you embed the profile.

Thanks for the feedback. The tern was photographed at about 2 hours before the sunset possibly creating the warm tone. As for the whites recovery i`ve seen your tutorial but i believe thats a more recent version from LR, my version 3.5 doesn`t has those whites sliders. Nonetheless i could have use luminosity masks for the super brights, and i will do it on this one.

    Thanks Diane.

Tried to edit the original post but couldn`t find the right way to do it. This is the repost after the recovery of the whites in the tern.
    Does this looks better?

It looks like the light tones have become a little darker and more cream-colored in the RP. I don't see much difference in detail in the lights but that may be the way the light was on smooth feathers. Either version is technically OK and works well for me -- it's whatever you like that is correct in this case.

Getting detail in light tones can be difficult and if you go too far it looks artificial, so I think you did well here.
