Default African Darter ( Anhinga ) in flight

At my local pond in Pretoria, when the varoius subjects take off, one can capture them against a fairly nice BG. This Darter was actually coming in, and this was the best angle I managed. Taken early morning.

nice and sharp with a good HA and wing position. I'd try to recover more details in the under wings, especially the far wing.

Very nice Stuart. I like the detail in the feathers and the eye and the pose looks great. Very cool looking BG with the hills in it.
Dont see IF of these guys too often so congrats on this fine capture.

Excellent Stu, agree with Arash about the recovering a tad more detail, nice species too.

Lovely lighting and smooth complementary background. The bird is pin sharp and the wing position spot on.

I keep toying with buying the same setup you have and your shots are not popular with my bank balance!

I agree alittle more detail in the far wing would be good but no big deal . Very pleasant to view. Grand light.

    Stuart:

I like it all except the lack of detail on the far wing as mentioned by others. Nice depth to the image provided by the distant bg.

    Tail displays very nicely.

    Cheers

    Stuart Sir,
I missed this post. Marvelous flight shot of beautiful looking darter.
Very nice HA, wing position, fanned tail feathers, wonderful details in superb lights, very nice BG and composition.
    Love the frame.

    Regards,
    Satish.
