I know this specie has been widely posted in here but I canīt let pass the nice beak and colours of this handsome bird.
As most of you know it is so dark in the rain forest and best light is not available every day. This image was taken in the late afternoon.
I liked how the light draw the birdīs curves so nicely from behind and I did not wanted to kill the back-lit look of the image so I turn the flash off. I took a couple more pictures with fill flash but they were not as nice as this one.

SS 1/50sec. yes, there was not much light to work with, again, a good sharpeness technique can save the day!

Love that bill. And the backlight on the bill is great too. The backlight on the black feathers, not cool. I'd have done anything to try to eliminate the black feathers with the sun on them. Possibilities? Get closer or go vertical.
Was this bird at a feeder?

Brilliant color display! The light was soft enough on the black feathers to be nothing of a distraction to me. In fact it brought out the red tint on the upper dark feathers beautifully! Nice one!
Spectacular bird, superb colors, lovely details, I like the comp too. Agree with Artie's critique but even otherwise this is a fine image. Great sharpness technique Jaun!
My favorite bird from your neck of the woods. Beautiful colors and nice detail. Great looking BG too. I wish the angle was a bit better but as Daniel mentioned, burning that shoulder will help.. Well done
