I captured this image of a Limpkin at the marsh this morning. I saw the bird cruising low over the vegetation, pretty much a grab shot, I got off four frames before it disappeared.

Pretty nice grab shot, love the pano look, I might darken it a bit but that again is just my preference, well captured

This is quite a pleasing image, Joe. Good job on getting the bird sharp when it was flying toward you. I find the vegetation beneath the bird adds a lot of appeal. I've attached a RP with a shadow/highlight layer which I think makes the image a little more powerful...giving it a little pop. Maybe too much...not sure.

It looks as if we are all on the same page here :). For my repost I darkened it with the Gamma slider after sharpening the face and bill with a contrast mask. And I too absolutely love the vegetation.

I like the pose and BG, Artie's repost helped with contrast. BG is excellent. the head and wings are a bit lacking in detail to my eye, was this a big crop?

Arash, thank you for viewing and commenting. The image as shown was approximately 75% of the original. A little off the sides, but not much. Top and bottom to fit the 16x9 crop for composition. I think the lack of detail you mention may be your 1 DX and lens vs. my D7000 and lens, also the differences between Cannon's DPP as compared to Adobe Lightroom regarding sharpening. I also notice a definite difference between Cannon and Nikon images. This image happened quickly, only a very few seconds to capture the images.
