Wow -- beautiful, how the face is framed by the feathers! Lovely detail in the light tones, and I really like the light vignette.

Welcome and thanks for posting again! A bit of a problem trying to deal with it being double posted when it was moved here from Avian. Very lovely composition and image, with the graceful feathers encircling the tucked in head. Probably would have preferred that bright bit of sunlight, just below the eye, not be there, but overall not a big issue. The orange bill adds much drama. Well seen!

Thank you William for reposting your gorgeous image. I'm so sorry I totally messed up your original post I was going to try to move all of the original comments but I think I'll leave it alone

I love the feathers encircling the face too. Great feather detail and one of my favourite birds.

Very pretty composition, hope to see you posting here more often as you have a talent for creativity. I agree with Nancy about the one patch of sunlight below the eye. That could be easily cloned out from the areas just to the left and right of it. I really like the feather detail and creamy colors. Well done!

William, I like the wide range of whites in this image which you have nicely handled technically.. They nicely contrast with the dramatic black and orange. The clean bg adds to the image.
