    Default Gonubie Sunset

I finally made time for some landscape shooting during our Easter family break to the Wild Coast of South Africa. This was taken in the coastal town of Gonubie (outside of East London). It looked like a much more promising sunset, but the light fizzled out shortly after this frame was captured.

    Hi Morkel,

I like what you have done well here with the rocks and the water. Good selection of exposures. Pity about the sky not coming up to your expectations, you know it happens...

I think you could consider loosing a bit off the top, maybe..?

Very nice work Morkel. I like the blues in this one with the touch of orange on the right and just enough blur on the ocean waves.

Hi, Morkel, I love the range of blues in the image. I just read a quote from a letter Vincent Van Gogh wrote to his brother describing all the hues of blue on the coast one evening as he walked along the shore and this reminds me of his description. I like the little touch of orange on the left and the patch of orange on the right.

Hi Morkel - Nice blurred water and details in the clouds. I also like the shades of blue. Too bad the colors didn't materialize for you but you made the most out of the opportunity.

    TFS,
    Rachel

I like it, all been said already! Next time you visit take a 10stop ND and really slow down the shot, that would work with those rocks!
