Another image of wild dog on a hunt near Kwando Lagoon. We hear that this pack is now raising puppies!

P.S. I see a big color shift after posting this image vs. viewing on CS6. Image is very flat here. Has anyone seen this shift?

Hi Loi,always great to see them , not ideal walking slightly away from the viewer, maybe was not possible to get more parallel shots.
Like the colors and the comp with lots of space in front.nice setting with water and bush giving a layered surrounding. You have a slightly visible halo around the head.

I have a different tonal of this and share it with the RP .
Exposure adjustment layer ( gamma set to 0,90) masked with open mid tone mask and a levels adjustment (blend mode soft light at 40 % ) and masked with the green channel.

Hi Loi - I'm not sure why you are having a color shift (my LBR is properly embedded btw). Did you change browsers or perhaps you downloaded the update to either CCPS or DPP and need to reset your color settings? I like the contrast and colors of the dog but would tone down the grasses as they draw the eye. I do wish that the dog was moving at least parallel to the camera rather than slightly away from it.

Hi Andreas and Rachel, I definitely had a color shift, but don't know why. I have been using Google Chrome for the past few years, so will have to check the color profile before I can do anything else. Thanks. Loi

Hi Loi and Rachel , i too have a slight tonal shift when uploading to here, always appears lighter and less contrasty , compared to PS . But that was always the case . Have not found a solution yet.But the difference is not īthatībig. What i do now is just add a mid tone adjustment , just in case..........on the final low res file.

Just downloaded Internet Explorer and the colors look much better than the chrome browser I have been using, closer to what I see with CS6. Andreas, your Rp looks a bit too contrasty on this brower version, but looked good on the Chorme! Loi

Colour discussion aside - I would have preferred some eye contact or at least minute head-turn here Loi. I also think you can shave some off the bottom as the OOF marsh isn't adding much for me.
I would process to get it somewhere between your OP and Andreas' RP ito colour and contrast.

What a cool looking color pattern on this one. A look back would've been nice but this is a focused hunter so I'm okay with no eye contact. I'm okay with the bit of water in the FG as well.

Hi Loi, I prefer this to the previous image, but both comp and the dog angled away/moving away is not ideal IMHO. Loi just check you have the right setting in PS > Edit > Colour setting, likewise you Convert to Profile before Save for web.

'Nuff said by the other guys. Color shifts are why I generally open my LR generated .jpg's in a browser first for checking, before uploading it for scrutiny by BPN's keen members. I need to make adjustments about 50% of the time to bring it in line with what I want to portrait.

Just to explore the issue of browser effect on colors a bit further, I saved the link to Loi's OP and pasted it into IE, Firefox and Chrome and then did a screen clip of the three images. Clockwise, the browsers are IE, Firefox and Chrome. There is a noticeable (to my eyes) a difference in color and mid-tone contrast.
