    Default Rhino Reflection

Taken somewhere in Africa. The 2 white rhinos were drinking at a waterhole when the third approached. They didn't seem to mind. It was later in the morning and the light was already getting harsh.

    Canon 5D3
    70-200 II @ 142mm
    1/125
    f11
    ISO 400
HH, slight crop for comp, levels, curves, luminosity mask, selective color adjustments, sharpened in CCPS.

    C&C welcome and appreciated. Thanks,

Hi Rachel, it must be a thrill to see not one but 3 rhinos up close. Too bad abut the light, but there was nothing you could do. You handled the exposure well and the reflection works nicely. i wish the third rhino was not blocked by the two in front though. Loi

Hi Rachel , great to see 3 of them in one frame , and i like the mirroring in the water.
Not sure about the overall color/WB , looks a bit cool for my liking. You have strong blue shadows in the rhinos and the bushes , and the Rhinos themselves are looking "very" grey , maybe it is just from grey soil ?.
Personally i would tone down the HL in the rhinos a bit more and give them a bit more depth, to pop more. But that is just me .

Still a nice one i would like to see / photograph.

Thanks Loi and Andreas for the comments and suggestions. I probably could tone down the rhinos a bit more, seems I concentrated too much on bringing out the reflection and not enough on the rhinos themselves .

    Thanks again,
    Rachel

A very simple fix Rachel, surprised that slipped the net.

Yep certainly was a nice sighting and the reflection was the added icing. Although I'm viewing on the ;laptop, I agree there does seem more blue in the image see the grass, but overall perhaps a bit more tonal depth may help, haven't even looked at mine so just going from recollection.

Thanks a rp, controlling the highlights on the rhinos a bit more, giving the midtones a boost and reducing the blues.

    Thanks again,

Nice scene and always good to have a proper sighting of these guys, Rachel.
RP does look better. Pity you didn't slap on a circular polariser for the light and reflections
