    Default Barn Owl with Prey

    I was just about to go home when this turned up
    1dx 600f4isLmkII +1.4tc mkIII 1/800sec f5.6 iso 800 quite a crop .

    I like the parallel-to-the-camera flight path and fully raised wings. I also like the iridescence on the flight feathers. Prey item a nice bonus. I'd love to see this posted larger!

    Robert:

    Agree with Daniel on all counts. Perhaps you felt the crop limited the size of image with acceptable IQ, but in general, posting at the max 1200x900 size gives us the best chance of critiquing the image.

    Barn owls are such great subjects!

    I like the pose and nice BG, prey is a big plus. for some reason image appears to be compressed with details lacking.
