    Default Little owl Male

Another of the little owl, this is the male who is now only coming in just before dusk, the female left the nest last week and activity is somewhat quiet around the nest area ....canon 1d mkiv 300mm f4 1/250 sec iso 640 -33EV Little owl 15th June 2014 by den9112, on Flickr

    Dennis:

Great eye contact, prey item, pose, sharpness, all good.
Perch large but softened by age and moss.

I would consider just a bit more space at the top, he seems a bit squeezed there.

    Cheers

Hi Dennis, agree maybe a tad more at the top but that apart everything else looks spot on, very difficult to find a fault, very nice indeed.

    Cheers Keith.

I love the cocked head and stare, kinda like it is showing off its catch with the foot raised up!! Large prey item adds a lot. Gorgeous background. Not too crazy about the perch, especially the frontal part that is out of dof range, and I agree with more room above...but still a super neat image that is highly enjoyable to look at.
