Default What am I missing here?

Tried to post to avian forum and got this message:

female-card-head-shot-bpn.jpg - The Dimension limits for this filetype are 1200 x 900. We were unable to resize your file so you will need to do so manually and upload it again. Your file is currently 858 x 1200.

858 s less than 900, so I'm not sure why it is rejected. it's a vertical shot, is that the problem?

    Hi Hazel,
I just posted a vertical in ETL yesterday..... when I double-checked the size limits prior to posting, yes, it does indicate that the 900 limit refers to the vertical dim....so your horizontal will need to be in the neighborhood of 640.

Yes, it does make a difference! I'm thinking that the vertical size limit relates to the horizontal-nature of monitors, so that you don't have to scroll to view the entire image.
