    Hi everyone

    Welcome to OOTB!
Beautiful shapes. The feathers of the circle could be flower petals. Lovely how they surround, support and protect the neck and head. Beautiful whites. I like the effects of the processing. Could you tell us what you did in your editing? I am enchanted by the feathers.

Hi, William, welcome to OOTB!!! Wonderful post - I love the pose and as Anita pointed out it looks like a beautiful flower unfurling its petals or an exotic dancer. I like the vignetting also. I hope we see more of your images here soon

    William,

Greetings. Interesting composition. The square crop works well. I would be inclined toward a bit more detailing or sharpening. I particularly like the color contrast in the whites and bg.

Welcome to OOTB... hope to see more.

    Cheers,

    -Michael-

    Hi Anita

Thank you very much for your comments, they are much appreciated

I was at my local loch taking photographs of Great Crested Grebe, when two swans with a cygnet swam past, so I took a few shots.
On looking at the images on my laptop, I decided to crop the image, change the BG colour to a different shade of green by using the colour sliders.
I thereafter opened Nik Colour effects Pro 4 and used a vignette filter, white coloured, to blend in the BG with the subject. Then I used USM to the head of the swan

I am still learning photoshop, so any advice would be appreciated.

    William

Thanks. Here at OOTB we learn from each other by reading how they processed an image. You did great!

Well done and welcome. The swan peaking out surrounded by feathers is very nice...

Bill, The thumbnail looks great. I would love to see the image but it seems to have disappeared. Please re-upload it to Pane 1.
