Default Arctic Terns Courting- The Offering

I took this yesterday in Glace Bay, NS. A sunny day but the sun went behind some thin clouds when this was shot. This male dropped the fish onto the log next to the female and she did not pick it up. She waited for the male to land, pick the fish back up and fly around her to deliver it to her mouth. A spoiled lady!

Now that I see this posted I think I should take a bit off the RHS. Your thoughts?

Beautiful pic Gail! The log gives it a nice soft feel. I actually like the crop. Maybe just twiggle the midtones a tad to bring out a little more depth?

Very nice image, Gail. Spoiled Lady. Oh yes. Her look says it all.
I like the perch and this wonderful BG. Well done, Gail.

Lovely shot Gail I like the setting. One tiny thing - I am sure your guessed - the tip of the femail's tail is obscured by the log

Gail love the curl of the tail and wing and also what looks like a struggling fish. Spoiled lady indeed!

    regards Keith.

Very nice, Gail. Love the pose and the story. The wind in the grasses adds to the environmental feel (doesn't she realize that he's landing into the wind as he's expected to?). Great curl to the wiggling prey. Slight halo that often comes at the perimeter of black heads.

Very elegant and lots of nice curving lines throughout. The interaction is excellent. I would not crop any off the right...looks well balanced as is. Some of the harder edged yellow grasses in front of the lady could be smoothed out IMO, but still OK as is.

Nice shot Gail. I like the pose the male gave you and the twisted fish really looks great. The techs are your usual, solid, and I think that cloud made the best condition for the shot. Very well captured.
