I'd say you've done the best you could have given the situation and its certainly an interesting composition!
Are these the ones from the clock tower in the town centre? I saw them today as I was driving through Rochdale

Unusual action portrayed. I am trying to figure out exactly what was going on. Did one peregrine try to engage the others talons with his talons?
I never use auto ISO so I am afraid I cannot answer your question,

Interesting 'pose', for sure!
Google is your best friend - see 'C.Fn I -3 – Set ISO speed range' at http://cpn.canon-europe.com/content/...m_functions.do.

Gail- thanks, yes the following bird was trying to catch the other by its talons. Now and again they manage it and spiral around together. Am looking forward to getting some food passes if they do it low enough.
Tobie- thanks for the link to settings , will check it out when i get home tonight.

you got some neat action and both are sharp, good exposure too. the overhead shot are always difficult as there is no eye contact, if this action happens at eye level it will take it to the top.

You captured an some excellent action! Not easy to get a frame filling shot and have both birds sharp in the frame like this. It's fun to watch them playing.
